Amnis Opes Institute (AOI) has been contracted by Whitewater Green Energy, LLC to look at potential impacts of a bypass hydro-electric projecton Whitewater and Russell Creeks near Detroit, OR. Information gathered from these studies will be used to assess the potential impact of the operation and construction of the Project. To date, AOI has collected data on resident fish species and their respective habitat in both streams as a part of a USFS level II habitat survey and a single pass electrofishing or snorkel survey. AOI is also conducting recreational and aesthetic resources studies in this area,
